Our Beginnings…Our Future…Your Future

August 1981, The Music Connection opened it’s doors. Prior to that, three intense months of writing hundreds or letters of intent were sent to manufacturers. Dozens of meetings with lawyers, accountants, and professionals in the industry occurred. Nearly every waking minute was spent brainstorming the birth of this new endeavor.

1981 was not an ideal year to be opening a new business; it was a recession. Many businesses were closing their doors, yet the Music Connection was opening theirs. The challenge was huge, but if we could make it through this, then we could make it through anything.

The Music Connection has grown as “parents” grow with their children. Learning every day from challenges, mistakes, and lessons. Starting in 1983, The Music Connection had shown a profit, and then 2008 hit. The biggest recession since The Great Depression of the 1930’s. The Music Connection was strong, persevered, and survived with excellent teamwork and creative ideas.

We are very proud of The Music Connection, it’s reputation for fine products, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We are happy to be celebrating 37 years!
